How do I use a shaving brush?Updated 3 years ago
To generate a rich and lubricating lather for your shave, follow our tips below.
- Soak the bristles of your brush in warm water for about 20 seconds, then gently shake to remove excess water.
- Load the brush with about a quarter-sized dollop of shave cream. The amount of shave cream needed may vary from face to face
- Generate lather by moving the tips of the brush across the cream in a circular motion. You can do this in a cup, bowl, your hand, or directly on the area of skin to be shaved. Note: lathering inside the shaving cream jar will probably result in wasting shaving cream. The lid of a jar of OneBlade Black Tie Shaving Cream makes a great surface to lather up.
- Apply the shaving cream to your face using circular and back-and-forth motions.
- Keep your brush ready to re-apply lather to your face by not rinsing it until after you're completely finished with your shave.
