How do I clean my OneBlade razor?Updated 3 years ago
While you should always rinse your razor off after you use it, over time shaving cream residue will build up on your razor. To remove the residue and make your razor look brand new, we’ve outlined a simple cleaning process.
What you'll need:
- Your OneBlade razor
- Water
- Simple Green cleaning solution (or any solution that is NOT designed to remove tarnish or rust, and does NOT contain hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, and/or phosphoric acid or caustic agents like sodium hydroxide or sulfuric acid)
- A shallow dish or container large enough to submerge your razor
- A toothbrush (one you don't plan on using on your teeth anymore!)
- A microfiber or cotton towel
How you'll do it:
Start by mixing a 50/50 solution of Simple Green and water in a dish large enough to hold your razor. You'll be submerging your razor entirely so be sure to fill the container with enough solution to do so.

Next, submerge your razor in the 50/50 solution and let soak 24 hours.

After 24 hours, use a toothbrush, or other non-wire bristle brush to clean any remaining build-up off of your razor.

Lastly, run the open back side of your razor head under running water for about a minute, rinsing any remaining solution from the razor. Then dry your razor with a micro-fiber or cotton towel, and you're all set!
